Marriott Starwood Data Security Breach Class Action Investigation

Abington Cole + Ellery is currently conducting a class action investigation regarding a confirmed data security breach of Marriott's Starwood guest reservation database. The breach reportedly affects data belonging to 500 million guests who stayed at the following hotels: W Hotels, St. Regis, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Element Hotels, Aloft Hotels, The Luxury Collection, Tribute Portfolio, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, Four Points by Sheraton and Design Hotels.

A customer notice from Marriott states that guests who stayed at Marriott's Starwood branded properties (above) from between approximately 2014, thru approximately September 10, 2018, may have had their information exposed.

The data security breach lasted for approximately 4 years, and breached information reportedly includes: name, mailing address, phone number, email address, passport number, Starwood Preferred Guest (“SPG”) account information, date of birth, gender, arrival and departure information, reservation date, payment card information, including payment card numbers and expiration dates.
